Levy, Suffering from Mange

November 4, 2012
We cannot believe Fozzie looks THIS good. He is so handsome! He almost looks like a different dog. Thank you Rain Dog Rescue for continuing his mange treatment - now we need to find him a home, a foster and/or adoptive. Let us know if you're interested in the beautiful boy!

October 14, 2012
Levy (now Fozzie) is doing amazing! Thanks to Rain Dog Rescue, he is in training and his mange is getting so much better. Fozzie has an amazing temperament and is doing so well socializing with other dogs. We are so happy we sponsored this sweet boy so he could go to a wonderful rescue group. Stay tuned for more!

Levy is a sweet and mellow lab (looks to be purebred) was given up by his owner in horrible condition. He is suffering from some type of mange and does not feel well at all. The volunteers at Chicago ACC rave about how loving Levy is - he deserves better. Levy is a young dog weighing about 60 lbs. Please consider donating to his medical care so expenses can be covered and he can be rescued.

Lilah - hit by a car and abandoned

October 29, 2012
Lilah has been adopted! MMF donated the last $500 needed for her surgery and despite all she has been through - being hit by a car, surgery, and a leg amputation - Lilah has finally found her way. This could not have been possible without the help of her amazing foster home. Here is Lilah below with her new sibling!

August 29, 2012
Lilah is a 7 month old lab puppy who was hit by a car and left to fend for herself. She was picked up by animal control and it was discovered she is suffering from a tibial crest fracture and needed surgery to correct it. She was so scared and depressed at animal control so we are happy Midwest Labrador Retriever Rescue was able to step up and take her into their care.

MMF has sponsored $200 of Lilah's surgery but the cost is much more than that. Poor Lilah now has a pin in her leg and is trying to be such a good girl while she is on the mend but it is very painful. Please consider making a donation to help Lilah's leg - any amount helps to cover the cost of what happened to Lilah through no fault of her own.

Frogger's Story

September 26, 2012
This priceless picture is of Frogger and his new dad! He was adopted this past week into the WONDERFUL home of a couple who is going to give him everything he needs. Patience, training, and love are all Frogger has needed from us humans and I am so glad I could take part in his journey to get there. Fostering him for a bit was tough at times, but this makes it all worth it. Huge thanks to Anna who fostered Frogger and took him through the last leg of his journey to finding his forever home!

August 6, 2012
Frogger is in an amazing foster home with dog and human siblings where he is getting the training he needs!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Frogger has come a very long way over the past month - he battled a terrible case of mange and had to be in isolation for 5 weeks while recovering. Due to his medical condition forcing him to be in isolation for so long and because he was taken from his mother so early, Frogger is unsocialized and needs help learning how to be a puppy. Through no fault of his own he needs another chance and someone to foster him who is willing to put in the training work he needs.

I personally fostered him for close to two weeks and he loved being with my dogs and learned quickly what to do and not to do. Due to an injury I am still recovering from and a busy schedule I cannot foster him permanently. Frogger is sponsored and comes with FREE training sessions whenever the foster needs by trainer Curtis Scott. Please email alicia@mylahmedicalfoundation.org to help Frogger. Friends of Chicago Animal Care & Control and Chicago Pit Stop Rescue are also working to try and help Frogger because they see how much potential he has. Please help him!
